RC Pythons Spring Season Summary
The Pythons got together for dumplings on Friday night to have their Spring Season awards night. The top prize on offer was the Sandy Robertson Medal, awarded to the player who received the most votes (from the players in the team) during the home and away season. Also on offer was the “Individual Performance of the Season” and an award for the “Most reliable player and therefore most committed player to the Pythons franchise”.

Alanna is the backbone of the Pythons team, she has had many personal accolades over the last few seasons including being voted the club best and fairest this year.

Round 6 vs Razors
In a game where Maria dominated the mid court. Langerak went one better and did something that hasn’t been done before or since and might never be done again. Shooting the lights out with 24 shots made 2 shots missed. Including not missing in the second half. That’s the kind of numbers that international netball players put up. You’ve heard me bang on about this night multiple times but I was just so amazed by those numbers and that performance.

Who is Sandy Robertson?
Sandy Robertson is a Richmond Central Football and Netball Club legend who has given his time, experience and passion over at least the last 10 years building the club into what it is today. Well renowned for his ruthless sprays and passion for bringing the Netball and Football clubs together to form a sporting super club (and for social intercourse). He is a father figure to many and massively respected figurehead of the snakes.

Maria Crawford
Maria was rewarded for her consistent performances throughout the season with a runaway victory in Sandy Robertson Medal polling. Maria always gives her best performance, works hard and fights hard for the ball. She was rewarded for this consistency earlier in the year when she was the runner up in the club best and fairest (to fellow Python Alanna Dunne).
